Module 2: The Keyboard

The Keyboard Kingdom ⌨️

Your fingers are the ten knights of the realm. Let's give them homes!

Feel the tiny bumps on the F and J keys! That's where your "index knights" rest.

The middle row of keys is the Home Row. Your fingers always start here! Imagine they are in their beds, ready to jump up or down to hit other keys.
Use your Thumbs for the Space Bar. Use the Pinky for the Shift Key when you want to make a letter big (Capital) or use a symbol!
The Enter Key is the "Go" button. Use it to send messages, finish a line, or start a new paragraph in your digital stories.

The "Bicycle for the Mind"

A slow typist is like a brilliant runner wearing heavy lead boots. Your brain has amazing ideas, but if your fingers can't keep up, those ideas disappear before they reach the screen.

Keyboarding is not a "computer skill." It is a thinking skill.

When you type at 60 words per minute (WPM), the keyboard becomes invisible. You stop thinking about "where the J is" and start thinking about "what I want to say." This is where true creativity happens.

The 200-Hour Gift

The average student saves 200 hours per year just by typing faster. That is 8 full days of life given back to you every year.

The Professional Edge

Whether you are a doctor, a coder, or a writer, the keyboard is your main tool. Master the tool, and you master the craft.

Final Advice:

"Never stop practicing. Even 5 minutes a day keeps your fingers sharp. Your future self will thank you for the speed you built today."
